This weekend will be the first Saturday of the month which means it’s time for the monthly food truck bazaar in the parking lot next to the courthouse.
But you’ll be alone if you show up this month, because the event is changing locations and times.
The event, which is now being sponsored by West End Trading Co., is shifting to the third Saturday of each month and will be located at 2nd Street and Palmetto Avenue.
Paul Williams, owner of West End Trading Co., says the changes are intended to boost attendance and improve interaction between event patrons and downtown businesses. The previous location next to the courthouse offered little connection to downtown.
Williams plans to provide tables and chairs so patrons don’t have to bring their own as they previously did. They will also be music and alcohol sales during the event.
The changes will be unveiled at the first event to be held Saturday, May 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.
