Sanford’s newest restaurant has a jerk behind the bar.
Not to worry, though, the jerk at Lucky’s Ice Cream Bar and Grill (Website | Facebook) is an old-fashioned, bow-tie wearing soda jerk.
Located at 406 S. Sanford Ave. (Gmap), Lucky’s serves up classic ice cream treats like root beer floats, banana splits and thick milkshakes.
Playing up the 1920s gangster team, Lucky’s also serves up burgers, patty melts, wings and other tasty entrées.
Locals will remember the place is the site of the original Shantel’s Café, before Shantel moved across the street.
The joint opened Monday, July 20. Lucky’s is open 11a.m. midnight.
