Buster’s Bistro opens new spot

After months of remodeling, Buster’s Bistro (Website | Facebook) is moving to its new location at 300 S. Sanford Ave (Gmap).

Central Florida’s only true Belgium beer bar will have a soft opening at the new location Tuesday, July 28. A grand opening celebration is planned for late August.

The new space was previewed Tuesday night at a private event for Buster’s loyal patrons. Locals who remember the place when it was Jason’s Martini Bar will be shocked at the transformation. Gone is the martini bar’s overindulgent interior that appeared to be created by an interior design school drop-out from the 1970s.

In its place is a sleek style that combines lots of wood and brick, similar to the design of the original Buster’s. And while the original space was cozy, and at times cramped, the new busters has a very open, roomy feel without losing the welcoming ambiance.

And while the location has changed, the top-notch staff we all love remains: sassy Redd; the lady’s favorite, Percy; the always dapper Henry; the lovably gruff Harry; and the big man himself, Paulii, along with his lovely wife, Christine. Plus there is a new addition to the Buster’s family – Tiffany, who worked at Rabbitfoot Records is joining the crew.

So starting Tuesday, check out the new Buster’s.
