A South Florida company – Preferred Realty & Development Inc. (Website) – plans to build a 91,000-square-foot self storage facility.

Preferred purchased 6.5 acres of land at the northwest corner of 25th Street and State Road 417 for $1.115 million. The facility will be climate-controlled, and house 700 units, according to plans filed with the city of Sanford.

The architect for the project is Kenneth R. Carlson of Deerfield Beach. The engineer is The Alann Engineer Group of Ormond Beach.
