Sanford will be in the national spotlight tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 25, as part of the circus that is a modern-day presidential campaign (regardless of party).
Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump will lead a political rally at Million Air, a private fixed based operator located at the Sanford airport. The rally begins at 3 p.m. Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith said his department is expecting 2,000 people to attend the Trump rally, with screening to begin early Tuesday morning.
A battalion of press will cover the event at the airport, but since there is no such thing as too much election coverage 8-(, MSNBC and reporter Katy Tur will broadcast live in Magnolia Square from 3 to 4 p.m. Smith said the network would begin setting up about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
If you don’t like crowds, stay away from the airport and Magnolia Square.
