The 2016 presidential campaign can’t seem to get enough of Sanford.
Last week, Republican presidential nominee Donald J Trump held a rally at the Sanford Airport. This week Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will be in the Celery City.
Lisa Jones with the city of Sanford confirmed that the Democratic nominee is expected to arrive at the Sanford Civic Center at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Jones said the rally will be open to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis, with doors opening at 3 p.m.
Crowds are expected to begin queuing up early Tuesday morning. Jones said the lines will start near the Civic Center doors on Sanford Avenue, run south down Sanford Avenue and then east on first Street towards Fort Mellon Park.
With the large crowds, national media and Secret Service security protocols, it will be difficult driving in and around downtown Sanford.
If you don’t like crowds and traffic, downtown will not be the spot for you tomorrow.
