Allegiant adds non-stop flights from Sanford to Louisville

Officials at Orlando Sanford international Airport and Allegiant announced this morning that the airline is adding non-stop service to Louisville, Ky.

The service is set to begin Wednesday, May 24. Initially flights to Louisville will be available two days per week, Wednesday and Saturday.

The largest city in Kentucky, Louisville is known internationally as the home to the Kentucky Derby, Mohammad Ali and the Louisville Slugger baseball bat company. The Derby City is also known for its “Museum Row,” an area in downtown Louisville that features numerous museums, including the Frazier History Museum, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Crafts, and the Speed Art Museum.

With the addition of service to Louisville, Allegiant now flies to 72 cities nonstop from Sanford.
