Residents in Goldsboro should find it a little easier to navigate along the community's main boulevard.
The beautification and street scape project along Historic Goldsboro Boulevard reached an important milestone today, with city officials saying the project is substantially complete.
About 3 to 4 weeks of small punch-list items remain, according to Sanford Communications Director Lisa Holder. She said those items should be completed by the week of September 11.
Substantial completion is a construction term meaning work on a project is sufficiently complete in accordance with the contract documents so the improvements can be fully utilized for its intended use. In this case, the work that remains will not prevent citizens from fully using Historic Goldsboro Boulevard without delays.
